The Purple Flame is the mythic half of my submission to the SSRC Just Tech Fellowship. I just defended my PhD at Virginia Tech — gaze, privacy, and context-aware adaptation in extended reality, under Doug A. Bowman. My central claim: privacy in context-aware XR is necessary, feasible, and never automatic. The same gaze that adapts your interface encodes your identity — so protection must be engineered into the signal itself.
My work refuses the bargain that adaptation must cost identity. DIBIA is how I scale the refusal: a consultancy, a marketplace, an incubator — a heterogeneous, autonomous, dynamic, distributed, decentralized, diaspora-preserving human compute organization.
